Harvest Festivals in the Benefice

Harvest Festivals 209

Do come and celebarte Harvest with us at one of our church services and meals. Everyone is welcome.

This year we are supporting our local food bank – North Oxfordshire Community Foodbank.

We collect items for the foodbank throughout the year but have decided to support them with our Harvest Donations too this year.

They provide food parcels to people within the Kidlington, Woodstock, Chipping Norton and Charlbury area. All donations are gratefully received but to find out exactly what they are collecting at the moment visit their website:

We will also once again be supporting Helen and Douglas House with our fresh harvest produce.

Ride and Stride 2019

Here are a couple of photos from the weekend’s Ride and Stride event – outside St John the Baptist Church, Fifield.

Thank you to all those who took part in helping run the day or those who “rode and strode” between churches and those who sponsored the event, helping to raise money for our churches.

Death Cafe Friday 13 September 2pm The Wychwood Inn

Death Cafe Sep 19

Our next Death Cafe will be on Friday 13 Sepetmber 2-3pm in the Wychwood Inn. Do join us for some lively conversation.

If you are not sure what it’s all about, here are just a few of the things that came up at a recent Death Cafe:

  • I really must update my will.
  • I have all these ideas for my funeral including lots of song choices. What do I do with them and who do I tell?
  • What do you say to children if a sibling died before they were born?
  • Would you prefer to be buried or cremated?
  • What do you think actually happens at the moment of death?

Find time for some Breathing Space – Saturday 21 September 10-12 Milton Church

Breathing Space

Could you do with some Breathing Space?

Breathing Space Saturday 21 September 10-12 Milton Church

Offering rest and quiet in a church setting, encouraging us to seek God in silence.

The invitation is to drop in any time during the morning. Nothing will be asked of you or required of you, stay as little or long as you like. Some resources will be available, but the idea is that you find what helps you to seek God in silence.
